Microsoft Surface Book

Intel i7-6600U • Nvidia Custom GeForce GPU
First Released 10/06/2015

The Surface Book was a brand new product introduced in October 2015 into Microsoft's Surface line. Although the Surface Book has a detachable tablet with a 13.3" screen, it is secondary to the laptop and docking function. Microsoft unveiled a highly advanced dock and hinge mechanism to deliver a high end detachable device into the professional laptop segment. All models have an additional battery in the base, and higher end models include a discrete GPU.

Microsoft noted that they were "redefining the laptop with the new Surface Book — a powerful, high-performance laptop with stunning craftsmanship and incredibly accurate and responsive pen and touch support.".
